Booklet Printing FAQ
How are the number of pages counted?
The number of pages are counted similar to a book. Page number 1 is the cover, 2 is the inside cover, etc. Even if a page is blank it is still counted as a page. Saddle stitched booklets will need to be in multiples of 4 (4, 8, 12, 16, 18, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40, etc)
What paper do you use to print booklets?
Action Mail can use most paper stocks depending on the number of pages. For booklets we recommend a book or text weight stock as opposed to a cover stock. Our standard paper is 80# gloss text but we can work with you to get the best paper for your booklet.
What type of bind should I use?
Most of our clients use saddle stitch binding (two staples in the spine of the booklet). For saddle stitch booklets the booklet needs to have a total page quantity that is a multiple of 4. We also offer perfect binding (similar to a book) and spiral binding.
